With static caravan rental, there are several legal requirements you will need to adhere to. You will be operating as a landlord, which means that you will be personally and legally responsible for safety provisions. We check more than any other static caravan rental check company we know giving you greater peace of mind and greater value for money. Gas and electric is checked over by us but this check does not grant certification and these must be sort as a separate dedicated check. We cover every other base that needs to be covered to ensure your static caravan can be safely rented out. We also offer winterise and drain downs for all types of static caravans.

You should always apply for a landlord gas safety certificate. These tests should be taken out once a year and are not included in any rental check.
Check for damp. This is included in our rental check.
Similarly, you should arrange for PAT Testing on all your electrical items, fittings and appliances. This makes sure your fixtures and fittings are safe to use this is included in our rental check.
In addition to this, make sure you are covered by a fixed electrical installation certificate. We do check over the electrical system which other static caravan rental checkers won't. This will run for three years and will ensure that your wiring is safe to operate this is not included in any rental check.
Consider fire safety at all times. Provide your tenants with a fire blanket and extinguisher. If you don’t, you will be breaking the law in your negligence. We stock these items in our online shop and they can be delivered to you when bought online or you can ask for them to be installed by us when we do your rental check
Make sure you supply full details to tenants on what to do in the event of a fire emergency. Providing you offer all the right facilities, you should be covered. However, it is always helpful for tenants to know what to do if they need to raise the alarm.
Always install a smoke alarm available in our shop. Even if there is no risk of fire spreading from fittings inside the caravan, it’s crucial you keep an alarm in place and tested. Do also make sure you have a carbon monoxide alarm fitted for additional safety.
Where possible, request that your park operator supplies a copy of their full fire risk assessment. All parks will have these, and it is your legal right to have access to it.
